The Department of Foreign Language Teaching for Postgraduates is mainly devoted to the English teaching and researching work for doctoral and master’s students as well as undergraduates’ English teaching for humanistic literacy and applied skills. Currently, the Department has a highly qualified faculty including 1 professor, 4 associate professors, 7 lecturers, and 4 master’s supervisors. Some of them are renowned as Teaching Master and Model Worker at China University of Petroleum (East China) and Qingdao. Up until now, the Department has developed a faculty of high-level academics with rich teaching experiences and strong devotion to their work.
The department prioritizes teaching quality and persisting in promoting teaching reform with scientific research. In the past decade, the Department faculty have undertaken many important research projects, constructed high quality courses at provincial and university levels, and achieved numerous high-level publications, including academic books, journal papers, translated works, and textbooks. Representative awards include: The First Prize for Postgraduates Education Teaching Achievements of Shandong Province in 2014 & 2018, The First Prize for the Teaching Achievements of Postgraduates Education in China University of Petroleum (East China), The First and Second Prize for Teaching Competitions at provincial and university levels, etc.
