On March 26th, the selection contest of UPC for FLTRP · ETIC Cup National English Debating Competition was successfully held. It was hosted by Beijing Foreign Studies University and several other institutions, and organized by School of Foreign Studies of UPC.
Eight students from different majors took part in the contest following the rules of British Parliamentary Style Debate and judged by five experienced teachers. As a result, the closing government won the first place in the fierce team competition, and top two students who were selected to represent UPC in the further competitions of East China region were Hu Xiangxiang, second debater of the opening government, and Wang Gan, second debater of the closing opposition.
