Prof. Wang Xuedong, Dean of College of Arts was elected director of the Chinese Public Administration Society (CPAS) council in its 7th National Members’ Congress, which was held in Beijing on January 8th, 2019. Xiao Jie, State Councilor and Secretary-General of State Council, delivered a keynote speech for the congress and more than 300 representatives from academies, government departments, colleges and research institutes across the country attended the meeting, during which 363 council directors were elected, consisting of 104 executive directors and 42 youth directors.
The Chinese Public Administration Society is a nationwide academic group affiliated to the General Office of the State Council. It focuses on the theoretical and practical research in administrative management and is responsible of soliciting academic opinions for government operation.
