On 5thSeptember, Freshmen’s parent - teacher meeting of College of Arts was successfully held. Wang Shuting, Dean of College of Arts,Zhang Yongning, Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhao Zhenhua, Secretary of the Youth League Committee，and the heads of all departments were present at the meeting.
At the meeting, Wang Shuting introduced the history of school development and educational conditions, helping freshmen’s parents understand the environment where freshmen will live and study. Later, he presented the details of the reform of education and teaching quality of the college and rendered advice on the development, cultivation, life and learning for freshmen. Moreover, professors of alldepartments communicated with parents and answered questions for them, clearing information about double major, studying abroad, taking the course for postgraduate student, education internationalization, etc. Patient explanations from professors gained applause and praise from parents.
The meeting provided convenient channels for family-school communicationand made parents know more about university life.
