Volunteers from College of Arts, UPC, serving for the 2014 Qing Dao China International Ocean Summit Forum

The 2014 Qing Dao China International Ocean Summit Forum, Oct 14-16, was held in Qing Dao. Over 500 experts from 13 countries and international organizations discussed the scientific development of ocean economy. 50 student volunteers, recruited by young volunteer association, College of Arts, UPC, did a good job in serving this forum.
Volunteers worked at liaison department, internal affairs department and etiquette department, dealt with foreign guests reception, conference arrangements, foreign language translation, gifts and certificates distribution to VIP guests at home and abroad, and guided signing and seating, etc. With bright smile, fluent foreign language and good service, the young volunteers showed their work enthusiasm and ability and responsibility to the world, wining the praise of relevant departments and the guests. 
Meanwhile, the volunteers said this experience not only enriched their life, but also applied professional knowledge to work. It deepened their understanding of the society, provided the opportunity to do things with their English, and developed their organization ability and leadership. It also helped a lot in broadening their international vision and improving comprehensive ability.
