Teacher Ni Ya Won the First Prize

 On July 20th, the closing ceremony of the provincial contest of instrumental music players was held in Baihua Theater in Jinan. This contest was co-hosted by Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Shandong Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. A total of 172 professional musicians from the provincial arts group and college teachers entered the final after the preliminary contest and semifinal. Ni Ya, a young teacher in the music department of College of Arts, won the first prize in the foreign instrumental music group. She defeated many professional musicians from Shandong Provincial Symphony Orchestra and Qingdao Symphony Orchestra. The music she played in the final was the first chapter of violin concerto by Mendelssohn, accompanied on the piano by teacher Chen Rong. 
Majoring in violin, teacher Ni Ya got both of her bachelor and master degrees from the Central Conservatory of Music. She is a teacher of the musicology and orchestral department in College of Arts at present and responsible for the rehearsal of UPC Sheng Hua Symphony Orchestra.
